Executive Mayor Leads Productive IDP Review Consultations across Lekwa Municipality

Sifiso Mngemezulu has successfully led a series of productive meetings across various wards, including Ward 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12. These sessions have offered local residents a valuable platform to influence development programme that the municipality will be embarking on the 2025/2026 financial year.

The consultations have focused on gathering community input to ensure that the municipality’s future development plans align with the needs and aspirations of the people. The discussions have been aimed at identifying
key areas for improvement, addressing challenges, and shaping the direction of the Lekwa Local Municipality’s development strategies.

The consultation process is ongoing, with the next meetings scheduled for today, 03 November 2024 in Ward 9, Extension 8. Following that, the sessions will proceed according to the published schedule, moving to Wards 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15. These meetings remain an essential part of the municipality’s efforts to promote inclusive and responsive governance.
