“This handover is not just about vehicles it’s about equipping our teams to serve the community faster, safer, and more effectively. We are investing in the tools that keep the lights on in our homes and businesses,” said Executive Mayor Mngemezulu.
Also in attendance was Mr. Phello Mohlamonyane, Acting Executive Manager: Corporate Services, who emphasized the importance of maintaining the new fleet and using it responsibly to benefit the community.
Representing the Electrical Department, Ms. Thuli Makhubu (Electrician), Mr. Marks Mabunda (Manager: Electricity), and Mr. Henk Pretorius all expressed appreciation for the much-needed vehicles, stating that the addition will significantly reduce response times to electrical faults and planned maintenance.
