Yesterday the 4th of August 2025 Kaefer, in partnership with Eskom, made a heartfelt contribution to education and youth empowerment by donating 21 beds and essential groceries to the learners of Qondulwazi Secondary School, located in Ward 13 of Lekwa Local Municipality.
This generous donation is specifically aimed at supporting the matriculants who will be camping at the school as they dedicate their time to preparing for their 2025 final exams. By ensuring that these learners have comfortable sleeping arrangements and proper nutrition during their study camp, Kaefer and Eskom are helping to create an environment where they can focus fully on their academic success.
The MMC for Planning and Economic Development (PED), Cllr Sesana Masondo who also serves as the Ward 13 Councilor, was present during the official handover. Speaking at the event, the MMC expressed deep appreciation, saying:
“This generous donation will go a long way in supporting our matriculants as they dedicate themselves to their studies in preparation for this year’s final exams. We deeply appreciate Kaefer and Eskom’s commitment to empowering our learners and strengthening our community. Initiatives like these demonstrate what is possible when the private sector, state entities, and the municipality work hand in hand for the future of our young people.”
This collaboration between Kaefer, Eskom, Qondulwazi Secondary School, and Lekwa Local Municipality highlights the shared commitment to improving education outcomes and ensuring that every learner has the resources they need to succeed.
