Lekwa Local Municipality, Sasol and Department of Education Partner to Support Qondulwazi Secondary School

WhatsApp Image 2025 04 23 at 14.58.53 e18be25dStanderton – 23 April 2025 – In a heartwarming show of community partnership, Lekwa Local Municipality, in collaboration with Sasol and the Department of Education, donated essential school supplies to Qondulwazi Secondary School today. The initiative is aimed at improving learner well-being and supporting education within the local community.

The donation included:

30 pairs of school shoes
30 school jerseys
30 shirts
264 school bags for all learners
127 sanitary towels to be supplied over a period of 12 months

The official handover ceremony was graced by several key stakeholders, including the Executive Mayor Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu, MMC for Planning and Economic Development Cllr. Sesane Masondo, and Acting Chief of Staff Tumelo Raletsoho.

In his keynote message, Executive Mayor Mngemezulu highlighted the significance of investing in education, describing the initiative as a testament to the municipality’s and its partners’ commitment to empowering the youth. He extended his sincere gratitude to Sasol for their generous contribution and encouraged learners to remain focused on their studies, assuring them that dedication and perseverance would lead to success.

MMC Cllr. Masondo expressed her pride in being part of the initiative, emphasizing that education is the key to transforming lives. She urged learners to make the most of the support they receive and to take their academic journey seriously.
