Today, 24 June 2026, the Multi-Party Women’s Caucus led by Chaiperson, Cllr. Rakitla successfully hosted a Women’s Recognition Programme at the Standerton Town Hall under the theme “Your Participation is Recognised.”
The event was attended by the Speaker of Council, women Councillors, Community Development Workers (CDWs), and women from across the institution. special guest appearance was made by Ses Catherine Lubatsi to contribute and support the program.
Chairperson, Cllr. Rakitla highlighted the Multi-Party Women’s Caucus commitment to supporting and empowering women. The Women’s Caucus continues to advocate for women’s rights, address issues affecting women, and help those in need. The event provided a platform for engagement, encouragement, and recognition of the important role women play in the municipality and communities. Their dedication and active participation continues to contribute towards improved service delivery and the achievement of the municipality’s mandate.
