Lekwa Local Municipality Encourages Residents to Use the Livi Lemphakatsi App

Aug 3, 2026

The Lekwa Local Municipality, together with the Mpumalanga Provincial Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), continues to improve service delivery and strengthen communication with residents through the Livi Lemphakatsi mobile application.

The Livi Lemphakatsi App was officially launched by the Mpumalanga Provincial Government on 30 April 2025 to make it easier for residents to report service delivery issues and access important municipal information. The app allows users to submit service delivery complaints, track the progress of their reports, access a local services directory, and receive the latest municipal news and updates.

The Executive Mayor, Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu, commended the Provincial Government continued efforts in providing a platform that helps municipalities respond more effectively to the needs of communities.

“The Livi Lemphakatsi App gives residents a direct and convenient way to report service delivery challenges. It also allows communities to participate in surveys on the quality of services provided by the municipality. This helps both the local and provincial spheres of government measure how quickly and effectively service delivery issues are resolved, while strengthening accountability and improving municipal performance,” said Executive Mayor Mngemezulu.

The Executive Mayor further encouraged residents to make full use of the application, saying that active public participation is important in building responsive and people centred local government.

The Livi Lemphakatsi App is free to use and designed to be user-friendly for everyone. Residents can easily download it from the Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices and via the link https://livilemphakatsi.co.za.

Residents are encouraged to download the app today and use it to report service delivery concerns, monitor the progress of their requests, participate in surveys, and stay informed about developments within the municipality.

The government and communities can work together to build a better and more responsive Lekwa.
