Deputy President Honourable Paul Mashatile, accompanied by the Premier of Mpumalanga, Mr. Mandla Ndlovu, District Executive Mayor Cllr. Walter Mngomezulu and Lekwa LM Executive Mayor Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu, conducted an oversight visit at the Standerton Water Treatment Plant to assess its operational readiness and capacity to deliver reliable water services.
The visit forms part of ongoing government interventions aimed at strengthening water infrastructure, improving service delivery, and ensuring sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water for all communities. During the visit, a comprehensive briefing was presented on the current performance of the plant, existing challenges, and planned upgrades to enhance efficiency.
