The Executive Mayor, Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu together with the MMC for Technical Services, convened a strategic engagement with the
Technical Service Department to sharpen focus on accelerating service delivery within the municipality.
The session formed part of ongoing efforts to prioritise the delivery of basic services that matter most to communities. Key areas of focus included ensuring a reliable water supply, stabilising electricity provision during the winter period, repairing water leaks, fixing potholes, maintaining functional traffic lights, and improving road markings.
Speaking during the engagement, Executive Mayor Mngemezulu emphasised the urgency of addressing service delivery challenges.
“These are not optional services; they are essential. We have agreed that all identified issues must be treated with urgency and attended to
without delay,” he said.
He further reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents.
“We as the municipality remain committed to ensuring that our people experience visible and meaningful improvements in their daily lives.”
