Lekwa LM Supports Learner Entrepreneurial Development through NYDA Partnership

LearnersToday, Learners from Vaalrivierskool received business equipment to help them start and grow their own small enterprises. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to equip young people with the necessary tools and resources to become independent and economically active within their communities.
Through the municipality’s collaboration with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), learners received equipment for various business ventures, including Lawn Care and Carpentry businesses. The support is expected to assist the beneficiaries in gaining practical experience, generating income, and developing entrepreneurial skills that can contribute positively to their future careers and livelihoods.
The initiative also highlights the importance of investing in youth development and creating opportunities that encourage innovation, skills development, and sustainable economic participation among young people. The learners were encouraged to make full use of the support provided and that continuous monitoring and support will also be undertaken to assess the progress.
