Lekwa Local Municipality, through its Public Participation Unit in collaboration with the Customer Care Unit, successfully hosted the Livi Lemphakatsi Mobile Application Workshop at the Standerton Town Hall on Friday, 06 February 2026.
The workshop formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery and enhance communication between the municipality and residents through digital innovation.
The Livi Lemphakatsi mobile application, developed by the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, is designed to improve reporting and tracking of service delivery matters across all local municipalities in the province. During the session, Councillors, Ward Committees and Community Development Workers (CDWs) were taken through the features and functionality of the application, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to assist communities in using the platform effectively.
Participants were guided on how to download the application from the Google Play Store (for Android users) and the Apple App Store (for iPhone users), how to log service delivery queries, and how to monitor progress through the system.
The Municipality encourages all residents to download and utilise the Livi Lemphakatsi application as a convenient tool to report issues and stay informed about municipal services.
Lekwa Local Municipality remains committed to embracing modern solutions that promote transparency, accountability and improved service delivery for the benefit of all communities.
