Lekwa Local Municipality undertakes road markings to improve road safety

Sep 1, 2026

Lekwa Local Municipality is continuing its efforts to improve road safety and enhance the overall condition of the municipal road network through road-marking work on Beyers Naude Street. The maintenance work forms part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to maintaining road infrastructure and creating safer conditions for motorists, pedestrians and other road users.

Visible road markings play an important role in guiding motorists, defining traffic lanes, identifying pedestrian areas and improving visibility. The markings also contribute to better traffic flow and help road users navigate intersections and other areas safely.

Road users are encouraged to reduce their speed, follow temporary traffic-control measures and cooperate with municipal teams working on the roadway.

The municipality remains committed to improving road infrastructure and implementing measures that contribute to safer roads.
