Seriti and Palesa Pads handover sanitary towels to underprivileged learners

Executive Mayor, Cllr. Delani Thabethe joined Seriti and Palesa Pads, organized a successful event to donate sanitary towels to underprivileged children from various schools. The event held at Standerton Town Hall, truly reflected the spirit of unity and care within the community.

The purpose of this programme aimed at addressing a significant issue faced by many young girls within the municipality, the lack of access to proper sanitary hygiene products. By joining forces, they have taken a big step towards bridging this gap and ensuring a brighter future for learners.

The Executive Mayor, accompanied by representatives from Seriti and Palesa Pads, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of menstrual hygiene and its impact on the education and empowerment of young girls.

With a generous contribution from Seriti and Palesa Pads, sanitary towels were distributed to the delighted learners from various schools within the municipality.
