50 Tittle deeds handed over to beneficiaries

 The Executive Mayor Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu together with MMC for Planning and Economic Development Cllr. Sesana Masondo, Speaker of Council Cllr. Dumisani Msibi and The Whip of Council Cllr. Rose Motloung continued the handing over of the tittle deeds to deserving beneficiaries at Lekwa Local Municipality’s main administrative building.

IMG 2729The handover was launched on the 19 December 2024 by the Gert Sibande District Executive Mayor delegated by the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA). The handover saw the additional 50 beneficiaries receiving their tittle deeds.

This milestone marks a significant step towards empowering communities and providing them with the security and stability of homeownership.

“We are handing over the tittle deeds, not just providing homes but also creating a brighter future for our residents by ensuring a security of tenure. It is our commitment to ensure that every family has a place to call home and have tittle deeds to back that up as assurance” said Lekwa Executive Mayor Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu.

The programme is set to continue every Friday up until the list of 320 deserving beneficiaries is completed.
