Assembling of the pump units progressing well

The assembling and installation of the pump units that arrived few weeks ago is progressing well and nearing completion. The pump units which were purchased by Seriti will bring much needed relief as they are expected to greatly assist in raw water abstraction from the river.

Lekwa News team visited the water treatment plant where it was taken through the work already completed and the work that still needs to be done by the technical team led by
Executive Manager: Technical Services Mr. Mthembeni Jiyane and Manager: Water, Ms. Moshia Legodi.

Welcoming the arrival of the pump units few weeks ago, Executive Mayor, Cllr. Delani Thabethe said: “This will have a positive impact in the supply and distribution of water and some areas will see an improved supply of water. We are grateful to Seriti and all other stakeholders that continuously support and assist the municipality in delivering much needed services to our community.”

He urged the community to bear with the municipality during the process of assembling and
installing the pumps.
