Executive Mayor wishes matric well for exams

Oct 30, 2023

I sincerely wish the class of 2023 a smooth, incident free and peaceful examination period which starts today and ends on 05 December 2023.

I believe that all learners have done a tremendous work to get to this point of sitting for their final examination and this is a culmination of a yearlong hard work.

I call on all parents, families, and the community at large to support our children with all we have, throughout this very important period of their lives. I make this call because education is a societal matter.

This support will help our children to realise and comprehend that these examinations are very important to their future prospects, that will in turn benefit us as the community at large.

I believe that teachers have done their and their further support going forward will ensure that learners remain focused.

I further call on all learners to remain calm, focused and resilient throughout this period.

It is through education that we shall trump against the triple challenges facing our beautiful nation.

In conclusion, I thank educators who have gone beyond the call of duties to ensure that students are fully equipped to sit for their final examinations.

I am confident that learners will utilise this very important opportunity maximally as springboard to greater future.

I thank you!
