Lekwa Local Municipality Hosts a Prayer Session

A prayer session was held on the 16th January 2025 at Stanwest Hall for the Lekwa Local Municipality Council and the broader community, pleading God’s protection and strength for all Lekwa Councillors in their mission to serve the community. The prayer called upon Almighty God to grant them wisdom, courage, and the ability to fulfill their duties selflessly, without fear or favour.

During the session, the councillors were honoured with certificates of appreciation for their dedicated service. The event was attended by pastors from various churches, members of the community, and special guests.

The session was graced by the presence of the Executive Mayor of Lekwa Local Municipality Cllr. Sifiso Mngemezulu was accompanied by the Speaker of Council, Cllr Dumisani Msibi; the MMC for Community Services and Safety Cllr. Mapaseka Molaba; the MMC for Technical Services Cllr. Litheko Marago, the Chairperson of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) Cllr. Doctor Manana, and Cllr. Dorcus Rakitla.
