“We have brought the first batch of chairs, we [will] be bringing more when the school reopen. It’s part of our programme to assist learners, more especially the matriculants, to study in a conducive environment and improve their results,” he said.

He added that he is actively involved in multiple schools, particularly those in need in order to improve results.  “We are busy at Holmdene schools and in other schools as well, so that we can improve results at the end of the year” stated Executive Mayor Thabethe.

Thobelani Secondary School Principal Mr. Mandla Ntumba has greatly appreciated the assistance the school received from The Executive Mayor and said it will go a long way to ensure teaching and learning at the school is conducive.

“The donation will help us greatly as we were having a shortage of chairs especially during exams,” he said.
